Objectives + Strategies + Tactics

The primary goals of these objectives are to increase student awareness of CAPS services and to encourage continued engagement among those who choose to use them. This can be done by increasing marketing strategies both on campus and virtually via email. Also, by ensuring therapists are creating a welcoming environment for students, will increase loyalty among the desired patients.

Objectives are how we will measure the success of the marketing plan once it is implemented

Strategies address how objectives are to be achieved

Tactics are the specific actions, details, and activities that must occur in order for the strategy to succeed and the objective to be met

Objective 1

Increase therapy service awareness within the IU Indianapolis student population. 

Strategy 1

Professors should be alreting students of the services offered by CAPS, and mental health should be visible on campus. 

Tactic 1 

Make CAPS services and mental health in general visible on campus.

Tactic 2 Mental Health services can be discussed during orientations for new students. 

Objective 2

Increase marketing strategies on campus and social media. 

Strategy 2

Posters referring students to CAPS, and text alerts around testing seasons should be sent out.

Tactic 1 Poster that says "Fact vs. Myth" to encourage engagement from students

Tactic 2 IU Indy must create a TikTok account that speaks of services offered and potential situations that college students are faced with. 

Objective 3

Enhance patient numbers for this therapy service. 

Strategy 3

Really focusing on each patient, and ensuring they are getting the help that they need. Therapists should be having conversations with patients to ensure they are feeling as though CAPS services are being performed to the best of its ability. 

Tactic 1 Have a follow-up conversation with patients so that staff can hear feedback from patients.

Tactic 2 Post-session recaps should be sent out to each patient to remind them of things to work on or highlight everything discussed in the session.
